ABOUT ME ​

 

I am Mary Kershaw, a recent Textile Design BA (Hons) graduate from Nottingham Trent University.  Specialising in woven textiles throughout my degree I have a grown a passion for pattern and colour. 

​

During my degree I have discovered a passion for fun and colourful woven textiles.  I have learnt about the application of childrenswear through woven textiles.  I have an excellent eye for colour and love to experiment through woven design.  Throughout my degree I have loved learning hand woven techniques, as well as digital weaving using the TC2 and jacquards.  I am confident with CAD and have a passion for digital woven design and techniques.

 

 I am a driven individual designing sustainably to educate both the current and the next generation to have a positive impact on our planet.  I have loved my design journey studying at NTU as it has allowed me to expand my creativity and passion for fashion.  As the future holds I'm excited to begin my career in the buying industry for childrenswear.
